Another successful Montreal Comiccon has come to a close. An estimated 65,000 fans gathered for what is the city’s biggest annual celebration of pop culture. From superheroes to video-game characters and Japanese anime, the amazing spirit of cosplayers in vibrant and interesting costumes brought the magic alive to the people around them.
Wrebbit3D casts a spell…
Wrebbit3D once again took part in the 13th edition of the convention at the Palais de Congrès held July 14th to the 16th. What better way to enchant the fans but to showcase our very own Harry Potter Wizarding World collection!
All wizards were able to purchase their very own version of the Hogwarts school to create and display in their very own home. Need back to school supplies? Diagon Alley in all its glory along with the Gringotts Bank with the dragon towering above was fit for the most deserving student. The Wizarding World brought to life in 3D! As with any fandom, Wrebbit3D’s Harry Potter collection connects and transports you to your favorite part of the Wizarding World books/ movies.
Calling on Batman!
What is a comiccon without a superhero or two? Wrebbit3D brought out the 1989 Batmobile for all Caped Crusader fans to own. We all know the Batmobile is a superhero on its own! Wrebbit3D team member Alex took the time to show Batman our latest creation!
Even a famous DC villain wanted in on the action; Michael Rosenbaum (Lex Luther on Smallville)!
Ghosts? Who you gonna call?
Wrebbit3D was ready for action with the Ghostbusters Ecto-1! Several paranormal investigators in their iconic Ghostbusters jumpsuit visited our booth to have a look at the star vehicle!
Lord of the Rings: Golden Hall
The highlight of the weekend was a fantastic meeting with LOTR Hobbits Sean Astin and Billy Boyd!
Wrebbit3D team members Giosi and Jean-Samuel gifted both actors with their very own version of The Golden Hall-Edoras. Much to our delight, they were genuinely intrigued…if we were looking for the ”precious”, we found it in their expressions! A picture is worth a thousand words!
Assassin’s Creed Unity 3D Notre-Dame
Wrebbit3D partnered with Ubisoft to create the Notre-Dame 3D puzzle as featured in Assassin’s Creed Unity video game. Every gamer familiar with this popular franchise admired the special attention to detail on the 3D puzzle including the self-standing prop pieces of the famous characters Arno Victor Dorian and Elise de la Serre (which consequently was our exclusive promo giveaway at the booth!)
The heart of a comiccon is the creativity and excitement expressed by fans of all ages. Wrebbit3D shares in that passion to tell a story through our 3D puzzles of fan favourite franchises. Wizard, superhero, video game hero (or villain), Wrebbit3D thanks you for bringing a piece of the fandom home! See you next year!
Fun Fact: Wrebbit3D is bringing the magic to FanExpo Toronto from August 24th – 27th. We hope to see you there!
